The Bad Plus

The Bad Plus are calling it quits after 27 years of bending jazz into something else entirely. This Coastal Jazz show is one of their final dates on an international farewell tour.

They built their name mixing rock energy with improvisational freedom and a genre-blind sense of humour. One night they cover Nirvana, the next they reinvent Stravinsky, and somehow it all fits.

The current lineup pairs founding members Reid Anderson on bass and Dave King on drums with Ben Monder on guitar and Chris Speed on saxophone. They have spent the last two years touring farewell dates across North America, Europe, Japan, and Australia.

Vancouver is one of the last stops before the band ends things in Minneapolis, where it all started. This is your last chance to hear them live.
